Illinois Congressman LaHood Signs an Amicus Brief to the Supreme Court supporting the Texas vs. Pennsylvania Case

Congressman Darin LaHood today signed on to an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court supporting the Texas vs. Pennsylvania case, which affirms to the Supreme Court my concerns regarding the electoral integrity in some states during the 2020 election, including Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, and Michigan. President Trump is fully supportive of this effort and I am proud to stand with him to ensure your voice and the voices of the over 74 million Americans who voted for President Trump are heard. You can read the full draft of the amicus brief here:

The cornerstone of our democracy is the integrity of our election system. Your vote and my vote is no less than anyone else’s, and I will continue to support legal efforts that get to the bottom of irregularities or fraud.

I hope the Supreme Court will give full and fair consideration to our amicus argument in this case brought forward by Texas. Regardless of the outcome of this case and the election, I will continue to fight for you and our Midwestern conservative values in Congress. We have important work ahead of us, including taking back the House in 2022 and reforming our state.
